"One of the best transformative relational workshops I have ever experienced is Family Constellations with Nick Werber" - Pamela M.

Are you someone who senses that your connection to your family of origin or the experiences you went through in childhood are affecting close relationships, your career, or your mental or physical wellbeing? Do you feel you carry a pit of shame or unworthiness that makes it hard to fit in or assert yourself with others? Were there secrets or infidelity in your family and do these dynamics continue to appear in your life today? Or, does it feel like you’re carrying around an inner-child that is easily triggered in relationships and never feels truly safe?

These are just a few signs that issues that began in your family of origin are playing out in your life today.

Much like world history, when you don't fully grasp the significance of your own personal history, you're more likely to repeat it

Healing With Family Constellations

Using Family Constellations, an innovative and profound healing process, this retreat will help you uncover how seemingly personal struggles are often not so simple. Instead, challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, illness and others can be perpetuated by events that occurred in not only your upbringing, but in your parents' upbringing, your grandparents' upbringing, or other areas of your family tree.

Family Constellations allows you to end generational cycles of unworthiness, anger, shame, and more that get shared within families. A common benefit from doing this is that it fundamentally improves the way you relate to your family.

Additionally, and perhaps equally important, is that this process helps you stop carrying these feelings and conditioned patterns forward into current relationships, your work, and the things that make life meaningful for you. In essence, instead of being stuck repeating the past, you’re given the freedom to rewrite the script moving forward.

What Happens On This Retreat

This weekend retreat will be a supportive mix of healing work and outdoor relaxation and rejuvenation.

Family Constellations and the related teaching elements will happen in the main temple space (dome pictured at the top of this page). And each day, plenty of time will be left for wandering the grounds, making new friends, and expanding in nature.

What’s It Like To Participate In A Family Constellation?

Family Constellations are an eyes-open, experiential approach, in which fellow participants will be asked to stand and represent relevant aspects of your life. Depending on the issue you’re experiencing, representatives may be chosen for specific family members, your partner, a boss, an ex, or other people in your life. As these individuals stand in representation, they will be gently guided to tap into an awareness that allows them to become a mirror that reflects back the dynamics you’re exploring.

At first, the accuracy of these maps or constellations may be surprising. But as we progress through the weekend, we’ll go beyond creating visual representations of your life and move towards how you can free yourself from the barriers that are preventing you from creating a life that’s aligned with your larger purpose. A longer explanation of Family Constellations can be read here. And for those who want to dive deeper, Psychology Networker has a great article that speaks to the approach and it’s history.
