Why Families Scapegoat and a Practice for Support

This is a 1.5 hour workshop where Nick will teach a framework for understanding scapegoating and othering patterns within families and share a visualization practice meant to offer support. Scapegoating is a dynamic that affects the entire family system, and so this practice can be useful for those who were recruited to be the target and family members who witnessed the dynamic play out with a loved one.

The goal of this class to help offer clarity about why this confusing and painful dynamic plays out and provide a visualization practice that gives your own relationship to it attention, support, and validation. All teaching and practices come from Nick’s years of experience leading retreats and workshops on Family Constellations, a holistic family systems approach to exploring complex, often confusing generational dynamics.

By the end, the goal is to have you departing with some major insights about this pattern and to feel affirmed and supported by a group who know what it’s like. There will also be a Q&A space at the end for questions.
